This piece was awarded a silver medal from the State of Connecticut in the Jr. Federal Duck Stamp Contest. In this competition those entered compete at a state level and if granted a gold medal, are then entered to compete at the national level. The competition is an adolescent version of the adult Federal Duck Stamp Contest in which the winners duck designs are printed onto stamps and hunters licenses. The proceeds from both competitions go to the conservation and protection of habitat for ducks.
This is the design for a stained glass window, done during a unit on the Gothic Cathedrals in my private art lessons at the BAY (Barn for Artistic Youth).
